
Shana M. Rooks is a native of Dublin, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and her Juris Doctor Decree from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana with Certification in Sports Law. Attorney Rooks was admitted to the practice of law in Georgia in 2000 and is admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
Professional Affiliation and Membership include, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Gate City Bar Association, Clayton County Bar and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She was awarded the National Order of Barristers in 2000. She was a member of the National Moot Court and ATLA Moot Court Teams, and the Executive Editor of the Sports Lawyers Journal while at Tulane Law.
Attorney Rooks values her call to service and believes to whom much is given much is required. She graciously serves as the Second Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity, President of the Board of Directors for the Southern Crescent Pearls Foundation Inc, Charter member of Psi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and the Junior League of Atlanta. She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Clayton.
Attorney Rooks also serves the citizens of Clayton County as a Clayton County Juvenile Court Judge Pro Tempore, Judicial Officer for the Clayton County Public Schools and a Former Magistrate Court Judge.
